Thank you for your interest in donating to
Catholic Charities - Diocese of Rockford.
Your support is valued and important to further our mission to
make lifelong change in the lives of the people we serve.
Your
contributions help us continue this important work in our
community.
Donations will be designated where the need is greatest.
Catholic Charities would like to offer a sincere thanks to the Sterling Area
Advisory Commission,
Donors and Volunteers who made our 9th Annual Golf Outing a huge success.
Your generous support over the past 9 years has generated much needed
assistance for Family Emergency
Assistance, Foster Care, Nursing Home Care, and Counseling Services for your
local community.

Catholic Charities would like to extend our deepest
thanks to the Deanery Council of Catholic Women for
their untiring efforts in facilitating our annual school
supply drive. Every year the council coordinates with
various Diocesan parishes to gain donated school
supplies for our foster kids and refugee children. This
year, as of July, the agency has received dozens of bags
of supplies from Holy Family Church and is looking
forward to delivery from many other parishes. Because
of their generosity, the children we serve will be well
prepared for the start of another educational year ! |

Special Thanks!!!
St.
Elizabeth Catholic Community Center would like to offer
a special note of thanks to Jim Dusa at American Welding
Inc. in Toledo, Ohio for his extraordinary generosity.
On May 11th, St. Elizabeth Center’s box truck
was vandalized. The truck is routinely used to haul
donated food and furniture for people in need in our
community. Vandals crawled underneath it in the middle
of the night and stole the catalytic converter, which
cost nearly $600 to replace. Our mechanic told us that
this has been happening all over town because scrap
yards are paying a hefty sum for the metal in the
catalytic converters. He also told us about a product
called CATCLAMP that is specifically designed to prevent
the theft of catalytic converters. The video and
website at
www.catclamp.com explained that the product includes
a money back guarantee plus $1,000 toward repairs in the
event that the catalytic converter is ever stolen during
the lifetime of a registered vehicle. I called the
company and spoke with Jim Dusa, the product inventor,
about our situation. After hearing about the work that
St. Elizabeth Center does for the community, Jim offered
to give us a CatClamp Maxx at no charge (a $350 value)
in order to protect our vehicle and allow us to continue
our work! We can’t thank Jim and his company enough for
their incredible kindness and generosity! |
