"Everything collapses without Respect for life."
Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo
"Some will say the defense of innocent life is only one issue among many,
that it is important but not
fundamental. They are wrong. In the natural moral law, the good
of life is the most fundamental
good and the condition for the enjoyment of all other goods."
Archbishop Raymond Burke
"The taking of innocent human life is so heinous, so horribly evil, and so
absolutely opposite to the law
of Almighty God that abortion must take precedence over every other issue."
Bishop James Timlin
"...we have a most grave obligation to defend all human life from the moment
of human conception
until natural death. God help us if we fail in this most fundamental
obligation."
Archbishop John Myers
Prayer to End
Abortion
Lord God, I thank you today for
the gift of life,
And for the lives of all brothers
and sisters.
I know there is nothing that
destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have
conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in
ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the
unborn.
I commit myself to be active in
the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters
are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen !

“The Empty Cradle Display” Catholic Charities sponsored the
Empty Cradle Display on the altar at the Cathedral of
St. Peter, Rockford, IL. This display included
three empty cradles signifying the devastating loss of
over 50 million children killed by abortion since the
Supreme Court decision Roe V. Wade. Candles are
held in empty baby food jars. In the center of the
display is a baby wrapped in angel’s wings.
Thus says the Lord: In Ramah is heard the sound of
moaning, of bitter weeping!
Rachel mourns her
children, she refuses to be consoled because her
children are no more.
Jeremiah 31:15
